Frequently asked questions

What is the roast level of the Low-Acid coffee?

Our Low-Acid coffee is roasted between a medium and dark roast to optimize low acidity and smoothness.

What does the Low-Acid coffee taste like?

Our low-acid coffee provides a comfortable flavor of chocolates, toasted nuts, & vanilla simply through our roasting process. We do not add any ingredients to our coffee.

Does the Low-Acid coffee contain less caffeine?

No. This coffee contains similar to caffeine, just less acidity. If you are looking for less caffeine, check out our half-caffeine blend, Equilibrium or our organic decaf coffee, Mellow.

Can low-acid coffee help with reflux?

Many coffee drinkers prefer lower-acid coffees when they experience stomach sensitivity. However, everyone responds differently.

Is the Low Acid coffee organic?

While this coffee is not certified USDA organic, it is specialty-grade & grown in natural coffee environments. Each coffee cherry is hand-picked from the tree & inspected and sorted for any imperfections, such as mold, black spots, or chips.

How do you make coffee lower in acidity?

While other roasters source coffees that are bright & fruity, we choose coffees that are naturally low in acidity from origins around South America. We then roast the coffee intentionally longer to reduce both perceived & actual acidity.

How should I brew the Low-Acid coffee?

For the best results & lowest acidity, we recommend using a pour-over method such as a v60 or Chemex. We strongly recommend to weigh your coffee and water before each use and use a 1:16 coffee to water ratio. Don't have a coffee scale? Check out ours for sale here.
