Caffeinating Compassion

Our Mission: Caffeinating Compassion

We roast specialty coffee to not only support small farmers who hand-pick each bean, but also support charities local to the regions that grow them. We call it caffeinating compassion.

We support charities like:

  • Save the Children
  • House of Hope
  • CURE Childhood Cancer
  • Operation Blessing
  • Hiwot Ethiopia
  • Help Chiapas
  • Athens Area Humane Society, and more.

Meet the Roaster

I am Zach - the owner/roaster of Happily Coffee Roasters. I started roasting on a popcorn maker in the basement of my parents' house during college. From there, I developed a passion for coffee roasting.

I decided to use my passion as a way to raise money for charities that mean a lot to us at home & abroad.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell K-Cups?

Yes! We absolutely do! You can see our K-Cup collection by clicking here. Every pod is hand-filled and the coffee is roasted fresh!

What is specialty coffee?

Specialty coffee isn't just a buzzword, it's an official designated term for coffee that has to meet rigorous high standards after cultivated on the farms. Specifically, the coffee must have a score of 80+ out of 100 designated by the Specialty Coffee Association.

Where do you get your beans?

We proudly work with an importer that sources beans directly from the farms, or collectives of small farms. This way, we know exactly what they charge, the prices, and the conditions of the farms.

Do you offer any decaf?

We do! Our decaf is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process instead of most grocery store coffee that uses ethyl chloride and other chemicals.

You can shop our decaf by clicking here.

How do your subscriptions work?

Subscriptions can be added by selecting "Monthly Subscription" on any product page! They can be cancelled anytime and save you 20%!

What grind size should I choose?

We are available 24/7 for any brewing questions you may have! Generally, fine grind is used for espresso, medium grind is used for drip coffee, and coarse grind is used for cold brew & French press!

Building Community

We attend local farmer's markets to build our community. We are fortunate to receive real time feedback & recommendations to make our coffee the best it can be.
